Jacketed Hollow Points (JHP) are illegal to CARRY in NJ. You can legally use JHP at the range. You can load a home defense weapon with them. You CANNOT conceal carry with JHP (which is pretty much a moot point in NJ since CCWs and Unicorns are equally common) nor can you transport your weapon, even trigger locked, while loaded with JHPs.

However you want to use Hollow Point ammo because it will expand in the target, which is what you want. Round Nose ammo can go straight though the target, which is bad!
