Why do balloons show up on facetime.
If deleting FaceTime is the answer I’d gladly do that if it’ll solve this problem. I have this issue also, in a text msg or group there now appears a FaceTime camera icon in the upper right instead of a phone icon. How can I change this back to a phone icon. I don’t want to FaceTime people generally.

They're disabled for other apps (not just FaceTime, but Google Meet, Teams etc too.) They're disabled permanently (not just for one meeting or until next reboot.) If your on a video call and you do thumbs up it comes up w/ a bubble w/ the thumbs up. Same thing w/ if you do thumbs down.
